Maarten and Antje hid Gerda Weijl-van der Stam for six weeks, treating her very well and never asking for payment. On May 28, 1981, Yad Vashem recognized Maarten Hiemstra and his wife, Antje Hiemstra-Tjeedsma, as Righteous Among the Nations. |
