Elisabeth was the only member of the Fuchs family who was able to stay at one address throughout the war. During her time there, Lambertus and Maria arranged for Elisabeth to attend a local school. On June 24, 1975, Yad Vashem recognized Lambertus Hamers and his wife, Maria Hamers-Leijsten, as Righteous Among the Nations. |
