The Dijkstras gave temporary shelter to many other Jews during this period. Willem Reinders* made sure that Adriaan Kroonenberg received his money from the De Twentse Bank, where Willem had been employed before the war. On September 21, 1978, Yad Vashem recognized Haye Dijkstra and his wife, Aaltje Dijkstra-Zweep, as Righteous Among the Nations. |
